A hands-free bag rides on your body — hip, thigh, chest, or back — so both hands stay free and nothing drags on one shoulder. Ukoala has handcrafted them since 2012 around a patented U-shaped base that curves to your body and spreads the load. Most models convert between several wear styles; the core models do all eight.
01
A bag that carries at the waist or thigh takes load off your shoulders; a single shoulder strap puts it all on one side.
Ukoala: Hip-bag and drop-leg modes carry the bag at your waist and thigh, and the U-shaped base keeps the load balanced across your body.
02
The bag should stay where you set it when you walk, bend, or sit, without constant readjusting.
Ukoala: A waist belt plus a detachable leg strap: the bag rides flat against you instead of swinging.
03
The things you reach for most should open in one motion without taking the bag off.
Ukoala: The Phoenix, Yeti, Black Ops, and BigFoot have a magnetic quick-access back pocket, like an extra-large pants pocket.
04
Match the bag to what you carry, from keys and a phone to a tablet.
Ukoala: From the Kangaroo Baby in Extra-Compact to the BigFoot, which fits a 12.9-inch tablet in Double Expanded.
05
Valuables should sit against your body, not in an outside pocket anyone can reach.
Ukoala: A body-side anti-theft pocket sits flush against you, and drop-leg carry is locked to your body so no one can yank it off like a fanny pack.
06
One bag that moves between hip, cross-body, and backpack carry covers more of your week.
Ukoala: The Phoenix, Yeti, Yukon, Black Ops, and 2 Faces convert between 8 wear styles; lighter styles such as the What If convert between four.
Every Ukoala starts from the same patented U-shaped strap system. Your bag comes with two detachable straps: a wider main strap that clips on at the top as your waist or shoulder strap, and a slimmer leg strap that clips on at the bottom.
Re-route those two straps with the quick-release buckles and the same bag moves between wear styles — no tools and no extra parts. Learn it once and every mode follows.
