Size & Fit
Which size am I?
Every Ukoala is built around the same patented U-shaped strap and comes in three sizes. The strap adjusts across a wide range, so choosing a size is really about how much room you want and how the bag sits on your torso. Match your height below — and if you're between two sizes, choose Standard.
4'9" – 5'2"
Lightest, lowest-profile carry. Sits close on a shorter torso so the bag never overwhelms your frame.
5'3" – 5'9"
The do-everything size. Fits about 80% of customers and carries every modular pocket layout we make.
5'10" and up
Longest strap geometry and the most room. Built for a taller torso and bigger daily loads.
How to choose
When in doubt, go Standard. It fits about 80% of customers and carries every pocket configuration we offer, so it's the most versatile choice if you're on the line between two sizes. Choose Compact only if you want the smallest, lightest profile, and Expanded if you carry heavier daily loads or have a taller torso.
Still unsure? Every product page also lists the exact dimensions for that bag, and our 30-day returns mean you can wear it, configure it, and live with it before you commit.
How to measure your height
- Stand against a wall in flat shoes — or barefoot — with your heels together.
- Look straight ahead and keep your head level so you don't add height.
- Mark the wall at the top of your head, then measure from the floor to the mark.
- Match that number to a band below. Between two? Size up to Standard.
Big Foot sizes
The Big Foot Double and Triple-Expanded models run larger than the three sizes above. Exact height-to-size guidance for those is coming soon — check the dimensions on each Big Foot product page in the meantime, or reach out and we'll help you choose.
